Esperanza Relief Fund for COVID-19
We will not be paralyzed, there is hope when we come together.
Our community is hurting. I want to acknowledge the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on each of us. We’re experiencing a collective shift that is isolating, and for our community, it is devastating. Latinx families are being overly represented in confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths, an alarming fact published by Oregon Live: https://www.oregonlive.com/coronavirus/2020/04/oregons-latino-population-disproportionately-hit-hard-by-coronavirus-cases.html.
Centro works with an unwavering energy to meet the needs of Latinx families, and today, we replenish Centro’s Esperanza Relief Fund. 100% of funds will go directly to migrant families in Washington County, especially those who are excluded from government assistance during this emergency.
A very generous donor will match the first $5,000 donated to the fund. You can help migrant families directly and immediately.
There is more food, health, and economic insecurity in our community than ever before.
This is the time to be courageous and step up, there is hope when we come together.
Please consider a donation.
Thank you,
Maria Caballero Rubio
