“If you have more than you need, build a longer table not a higher fence.”

STRONG Youth serves and supports 230 families on Long Island, who now must choose between paying for their rent or putting food on the table. For undocumented immigrants, excluded from all government relief, the situation is especially dire.
Food pantries in the region are overwhelmed by demand. Many families have to wait in line for hours for a single grocery bag of food. And other families are not able to pay for a cab to get to the food pantries.
Despite the state-wide anti-eviction law, landlords have threatened to call the police on undocumented families who can't pay their rent.
S.T.R.O.N.G. Youth is mobilizing our staff and volunteers to make sure that we can buy and directly deliver food to all of our families and provide financial relief for their rent…but we can't do this without your support.
