Memorial Fund in Honor of Syed Saifuddin Khadri
Help provide students in need the gift of education

When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariya (a continuous charity), or knowledge which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him" (Muslim)
For people who knew Br. Syed Saifuddin Khadri, he was many things. Among them, a loving father and uncle, a gentle husband, a loyal brother, kind friend and reverent son. His generous qualities knew no bounds, always making time to help his family members and strangers equally, and whatever time he had left for himself was devoted to the remembrance of his Lord. His kind words were always laced with sweetness, and he never failed an opportunity to spend time with the younger generation to relay words of wisdom and knowledge. Whenever you were in the presence of Kaku mamu (which he was so lovingly called by his family), he would remind you to remember God. On November 10, 2019, he returned to his Lord. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.
This Ramadan, a month filled with blessings, we request first and foremost for your duaas for our loving family member. On behalf of Br.Syed Saifuddin Khadri, we have started a fundraiser as Sadaqah Jariyah in his name towards the Thaakat Foundation. *Thaakat is a non profit that is focused on helping the underprivileged through access to education. As part of their DREAMS project, they have opened 2 schools in Pakistan and built them from the ground up, funded solely by donations. We believe contributing to this cause would be the best way to honor Br. Syed, as we believe he was passionate throughout his life about helping people in need, especially the youth.
What Life is Like for Our Students.
The villagers have built a community in the largest landfills of Karachi, Pakistan. Here is where they make their living. Every day, over 100 tons of garbage is dumped on their home turf and they must live among the burning smoke, pollutants and dangerous gasses from the waste. Many of our students work in the landfill to support their families.

Advancing the mission of female literacy
In specific, your donations will support the launch of Thaakat's first and only, All Girls Campus at DREAMS, Pakistan. This campus will serve more than 200+ students in a brand new state of the art facility. This will be complete with 10 washrooms and a water well and will be adjacent to our new women's technical training center. The funds will provide the running expenses for teacher salaries, supplies, provisions and support of our students at this school. In the harsh slum areas, parents hesitate to send their daughters to school because of the mixed gender environment. This allows girls to learn in a place where their parents have no reservations.
