Coral Restoration on the Florida Reef Tract
Have you ever been curious about habitat restoration in marine environments? This presentation will be an overview of Mote Marine Laboratory's efforts to restore the Florida Reef Tract. Learn about the importance of coral reefs, the problems facing the Florida Reef Tract, and the innovations Mote Marine Laboratory has pioneered in the field of coral restoration.
Alicia Manfroy is a Coral Restoration Technician at Mote Marine Laboratory's Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration. Her work involves coral husbandry for the land-based coral nursery in the Florida Keys. Alicia is from the San Francisco Bay Area and interned with SFBBO from January to June 2019.
