Dinner in the Dark Virtual Dinner
DONATIONS STILL ACCEPTED & APPRECIATED
Homeward Pikes Peak plans a virtual dinner on Thursday, June 25th, 2020.
This year we are featuring a unique partnership between HPP, the Picnic Basket Catering Co, and you-our supporters! We invite you to pick up a fully prepared meal and then dine with your loved ones or friends. Then at 8 pm tune into Facebook Live and a Zoom meeting for a brief program and celebration of transformation, recovery, and success highlighting two clients who have made the journey to recovery!
This year we would like to draw special attention to our women's recovery programs. Bloom Recovery Home and Project Detour work with women, the majority of whom are mothers, to address and overcome addictions and rebuild their lives to nurture and parent their children. We must raise $25,000 in gap funding to continue these important programs after reductions to the Colorado State budget impacted our funding. Each year these programs provide housing to moms, infants, and toddlers in support of sobriety, family unity, and long term success of the entire family!
HPP encourages families, small groups of friends to gather and celebrate the impact of our work lifting individuals and families back into sober, safe, and self-sufficient lives in our community. The meals are offered in two sizes: two servings(2) for $150 or four-six (4-6) servings for $250. This will allow you to experience time together without leaving your home to attend an event this year! Although at this point in the Coronavirus life we might all want to get out and socialize, please gather around your table and celebrate being part of an organization committed to Recovery, Housing, and Dignity!
Supporters can register to participate and pick up fully cooked dinner from the Picnic Basket Catering Co. who is also donating a portion of the costs for the dinner back to HPP. Guests of this year's virtual dinner may pick up their dinners at one of two locations: the Picnic Basket Catering Co at 1701 S 8th St. or near our sponsor Bryan Construction located at 1025 E. Woodmen Rd. (in the parking lot of the new Planet Fitness off of I-25 and Woodmen Rd.).
If you would like to support our work and not register for dinner please use the "donation" option and contribute a gift that is significant to you. All donations are welcome and appreciated and support our critical work.
HPP would like to thank our sponsors this year for this event:
