Homestead HS PTSA Direct Appeal 2020-21
Please help make a difference
Support our students’ educational journey - remotely and in-person
In this time of uncertainty and new challenges, our school is working on new ways to support students. Though classes are held remotely, more resources and opportunities are instrumental to make this year a success. Your donations help support the school where state funding is not adequate. So far, THIS school year the PTSA sponsored;
● Send-home-kits and materials
● Funds to ALL the academic departments for app licenses, supplemental materials, and more.
● Soundtrap all for ALL music and choir classes
● Volt application for ALL PE classes
● AP Review loaner books
● scanners to scan educational materials
● Launch of Reflections; PTSA student art program
● Go-Pro cameras to create videos of experiments and processes
● Educational speaker series
● Class book sets to send home
Staff members are submitting more grant requests and we want to be able to provide the funds.
Additionally, the PTSA and ASB are working in partnership to support our students and families in need with a food pantry (note that the school lunch is only provided to students, not to their entire family). We make sure that EVERYONE in our community has food and basic supplies. (donations towards the food pantry also count for ASB Spirit color points (your student's advisory team = 2nd period) you will "earn" your student 1 point for every $5 donated! Make sure to provide the color team of your student (Yellow, Pink, Orange, or Purple) in the final screen before submitting the donation - Thank you for supporting this important initiative!)
Please join our Homestead HS community by providing additional resources to academic classes and other activities. All contributions directly support our HHS students and teachers. YOUR voice and donations matter, please consider getting involved and making a contribution.
Our goal is to raise $55,000 to support the students and community & increase our impact. All parents and students are encouraged to become a PTSA member and donate;
YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT REACHES EVERY STUDENT AT HHS!
Please consider donating $250 or any amount that you can to support our students or the food pantry.
If your workplace offers matching employer donations please apply for it. Last year 20% of our income came from corporate matching! Additionally, contact your tax advisor to determine if your donation is tax-deductible. Contact us with any questions - firstname.lastname@example.org
