Join us at a cleanup, happening across the island of O'ahu!
Aloha Sustainable Coastlines Hawai'i community,
We are excited to announce that we are partnering with organizations and community members across O'ahu for an ISLAND WIDE Cleanup this July 11th! Cleanups will happen from 9:30-11:30 with check-in starting at 9:00.
Register here to volunteer with us at one of many sites across O'ahu. As a precaution for safety and with respect to social distancing guidelines, we are limiting the number of volunteers per site. Register now to secure your spot! Want to volunteer but all spots are reserved? Let us know, and we will open up additional groups for you. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate.
Our teams will provide bags, gloves, sanitizer and organize all the trash pickup. IMPORTANT: We ask that everyone assumes responsibility to bring their own mask and does not participate if you are feeling at all sick. We are as excited as you to get back out there and make a difference and know we must do so with the utmost precautions for the health and safety of our community. So, things are a little different for this cleanup. You may not see our usual music, vendors and keiki games. What hasn't changed is our stoke and passion to care for Hawaii's coastlines. That's why we want to get back out on the frontlines, working toward an ocean free from plastics, with your help.
Looking for additional ways to support? You can help our volunteer team, from anywhere in the world, by sponsoring a cleanup. Help us meet our fundraising goal of $20,000 to cover supplies, costs for putting on this event and support the operations of our beach cleanup and education program. All contributions are greatly appreciated and directly support our mission of inspiring local communities to care for their coastlines through hands-on beach cleanups and education! You can check out where impact happens with dollars donated on our website here.
Want to increase that impact? We are seeking to build our recurring donor profile. If our entire following through web and social media donated $1 a month, we could cover all of our operating costs and focus directly on the work of caring for our coastlines. If you choose a monthly, quarterly, or annual donation from the link you will be entered in a drawing to win some awesome prizes and experiences.
Mahalo nui for caring for our coastlines,
From the SCH 'Ohana.
