Islamic Creed 8 Week Course
Seeking to ground ourselves and our view of the world during times of great intellectual and spiritual confusion, the most important matter for any Muslim is to know their creed. While there are many matters we become tangled in, they all are secondary when concerning our Islamic beliefs. The objective of this course will be to cover the main elements of what Muslims believe using widely accepted works on the topic.
Class times: Course meets twice a week for 2 hours each class.
Tuesdays: 6:30pm-8:30pm & Saturdays: 3:30pm-5:30pm
Location: Online via Zoom
Texts to be used for course material: (books not included in class fees)
Aqidah al-Tahawiyyah; The Sanusi Creed; On Divine Wisdom (Ibn al-Qayyim); al-Fiqh al-Akbar; and Man and the Universe.
Required Readings: Aqidah al-Tahawiyyah; One God, Many Names; and selected passages from other texts.
