Simpson/Stulberg Collaborations is a Bay Area-based dance organization created in 2014. We create dances for the stage, museum and gallery spaces, and on film. Our goal is to make quality contributions to the greater field of contemporary dance, to make impactful art on an individual level, and to find viable and sustainable ways of doing it over the longterm. Our choreographic research aims to discover what movement reveals about a topic or issue. The process hinges on the conversation between improvisation and craft, ephemerality and permanence.
