Start a Fundraising Campaign
With Three Easy Steps!
Step 1
Recognize the gender injustices deeply rooted in the U.S. prison
system and in society at large and decide to help.
The U.S. is one of the top incarcerators of women in the world, making women the fastest growing criminal justice population. In the past four decades, the number of women incarcerated in U.S. jails and prisons increased by more than 700%. Despite the number of women drastically increasing, programs and services available for women pale in comparison to those offered to men. There is an overwhelming difference in the way men and women are treated in the prison system, and after release.
You can directly help Why Not Prosper target the social inequities that plague our women by raising money to sustain our women-focused programs. It only takes a minute to start a campaign-- pick a name, photo, and goal!
Step 2
Spread the word about your fundraiser and get your friends and family involved!
Once you have created your campaign, individually or in a team, tell everyone about it! Send emails, share your page on social media, and watch the donations roll in. The more people you tell, the quicker you'll reach your goal!
Step 3
See where your money goes and the impact it makes
After your campaign is over, we will report back to you about how your funds supported our women and our community. You can check out the running programs at Why Not Prosper here, and sign up for our newsletters to keep in touch with us. Together, we are helping women become economically-sufficient and live transformed lives day-by-day.
