Gulfside Hospice is proud to offer the Pet Peace of Mind® program to its patients thanks to support from the local community.
The unconditional love pets provide to their owners is priceless medicine for both patients and families living with an end-of-life illness. Whether they are furry, feathered or finned, this patient/pet support program works to keep hospice patients and their pets together at no cost to the patient and family.
This program assist with pets of hospice patients by:
- Assisting with veterinary care
- Providing pet food and cat litter
- Flea and tick treatment
- Routine grooming care
- Assistance with finding a “forever home” if family is not able to keep pet after the patient passes away
Gulfside Hospice serves Pasco County residents exclusively, and is the only hospice in the Tampa Bay area offering this service. Thanks to support from community members like you, Gulfside is able to offer this program at no cost to the patient and family.
You can get involved with the Pet Peace of Mind® program by volunteering to assist with any pet service provided or donating specifically to the program to help Gulfside Hospice continue providing these services.
