Teachers in Tanzania Need Your Help!
Because of the COVID-19 crisis this spring, the Bethania School in Tanzania was unable to hold classes—or collect school fees. As a result, the school is unable to pay its teachers this summer. [In Tanzania, school is held through the summer, with a long break in winter]. NG is a longtime project partner of the Bethania School, and school officials urgently appealed to NG to help pay their staff of 65 people (teachers, as well as secretaries, cleaning staff, cooks and a watchman).
The COVID-19 crisis has upended many families' ability to pay tuition, although their children still need the life-transforming gift of education. For the children of the Kemondo Orphan Project, this school is their only pathway to a better life.
If you are able, please consider helping the Bethania School keep its doors open this summer. Your gift will support the incredibly dedicated staff of the school and their families—and ensure that students can keep learning.
