The Mission of AMBUCS is to provide access to all the classic benefits of riding a bike: mobility, strength, exercise, coordination, interaction with family and friends, and just pure fun! We match individuals with Amtrykes (adapted bikes) through our therapeutic bicycle program, and then work with families to facilitate fundraisers to obtain the bikes or all riders!
We ask all families of riders to help us spread the word about our program to help optain donations for our rider's bikes. This can be thru donations from friends and family in honor of a rider, or from matching donation funds from employers or grants. Riders who are currently waiting for bikes or who got a bike through our program are helping us to raise funds to "pay it forward" for their bikes and to help other future riders to obtain their own adapted tryke!
The Amtryke Therapeutic Tricycle Program is about abilities, not disabilities.
