Intersection for the Arts' Scholarship Fund
A campaign of Intersection for the Arts
Intersection for the Art’s Scholarship Fund is a mutual aid practice–mutual aid is a voluntary reciprocal exchange of resources in which communities take responsibility for caring for one another–intended to mitigate barriers to access of our services. Anyone can contribute to our Scholarship Fund, and those who benefit from it are self-selected based on need.
This fund allows us to offer our workshops and programs at a reduced price. We train artists, arts administrators, and cultural workers around the Bay Area in the business side of creative work so that they can grow professionally.
Our workshops cover topics like grant writing, applying for artist residencies, filing taxes as an artist, and more.
Our Accelerator program is an 8-week arts business program that helps develop various aspects of business modeling for an arts practice, project, or venture.
There’s more demand for our scholarship tickets than we can meet. We need to develop our Scholarship Fund so that we can offer our professional development programs to those who would otherwise be unable to attend for lack of funds. The more scholarships we can provide, the more artists, arts administrators, and cultural workers will be able to benefit from our programs.
We need your help to develop our scholarship fund! Contributions of any amount will be used to fund scholarships to our workshops and programs and we appreciate help in spreading the word about our fund.
Here’s what your donations would fund:
$50 would fund 5 scholarship enrollment tickets at $10 each to one of our professional development workshops.
$100 would fund 5 scholarship enrollment tickets that are free of charge to one of our professional development workshops.
$300 would fund 1 scholarship enrollment to participate in our Accelerator program.
$500+ would allow us to develop the fund so that we can continue to offer scholarship enrollment to our workshops and programs!
