Join Red Rock Audubon for our monthly bird walk at Floyd Lamb Park. Floyd Lamb Park’s 680 acres includes four lakes, abundant trees, and an abundance of birds.
Leaders will not have spotting scopes available as we cannot share equipment. A light pointer will be used as needed to show the approximate location of the birds. Most of the walk is on paved pathways however, a portion of the walk will be in the natural area on dirt paths. Walks will have multiple leaders and attendees will be broken into small groups.
As always, when birding in our arid climate please remember to bring enough water, protection from the sun, and snacks as needed for yourself. Don’t forget your binoculars if you have them. The walk will consist of going to 4 to 5 designated spots for approximately 10 to 15 minutes per spot.
Meeting location: Find the leader at the last parking lot, lot #5.
Curious what you might see? Floyd Lamb Park is visited by birders regularly. Check out recent sightings on ebird: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L139900.
