2020 Sponsorship
As a valued part of the ALFA family, we want to inform you of how ALFA is coping with the COVID-19 crisis and our plans for the remainder of 2020. ALFA has put together multiple strategies to ensure the agency’s ability to navigate these uncertain times. The agency received special grant and federal/state funding to assist with COVID related funding disruptions and expenses, increased client needs, and we were granted a small SBA loan to assist with operational expenses.
To provide support to our community during the current situation, ALFA has adapted every service we provide. We have maintained our high quality client services by adopting new software and technology that allows staff to provide services remotely whenever possible, and staff has provided home delivery of food, medications and hygiene products. Our outreach now includes virtual components, and HIV/HepC prevention supplies are offered through the mail. The Farm has continued to operate and grow with new safety precautions which limit contact with individuals enrolled in our program. We implemented a testing hotline to triage and refer individuals, and we have launched online PrEP services.
ALFA’s excellence and influence in the community has been recognized by the state and local health department, and were contacted to make use of our mobile testing van for COVID-19 testing in marginalized communities. We hope to be serving our community in this capacity soon.
We recognize that everyone has suffered personally and professionally during this crisis, so we have recast our fundraisers for 2020. Since the likelihood of being able to gather in person is low this year, we have decided to combine our popular Uncorked wine tasting with our long-standing tradition of Winter Gala into one event - the Red Ribbon Gala. We are working with Cafe Rule on the details of how to host a dynamic, socially distanced event.
As always, ALFA depends on sponsors to support our work. We want to be respectful of everyone’s time and ability to donate during these times. Because the possibility of in person fundraising events remains unknown, we would like to offer you the opportunity of a 2020 corporate sponsorship.
Thank you for considering us this year as you donate to organizations. We truly couldn’t continue our work without supporters such as yourselves. Let us know if you have any questions regarding our new format or if you have any suggestions on how we can recognize the contributions of our community partners during this time.
Sincerely,
Chris Kliesch Laura Levinson
