Did you know that during the last school year, the Santa Clara Schools Foundation (SCSF) supported 81 student and teacher projects, impacting the educational experience of over 11,000 students in the Santa Clara Unified School District? We also awarded scholarships and awards to over a dozen students! In our 28th year supporting the students and programs of SCUSD, we are committed to continuing these initiatives -- but we can only do it with your help.

We are inspired by student creativity, talent, and ingenuity through the arts, music, health centers, gardens, and STEAM programs we support. We work closely with teachers to provide practical tools students need to grow into confident, creative leaders through rich, hands-on learning experiences. Our programs facilitate real-world connections to learning inside and outside the classroom to help expand student knowledge and further their interest in future careers.

The pandemic has affected those we care about in many ways. In this socially distanced time, we have missed our favorite events, which traditionally raise almost 40% of our funding for grants, scholarships, and awards: the City of Santa Clara’s 4th of July celebration (yes, we work as parking lot attendants!) and the amazing annual Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival (where we generously pour wine for our friends and neighbors) at Central Park. Another major source of funding, the annual Firehouse Run, sponsored by our generous friends the Santa Clara Firefighters Association, will take place virtually this year, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be as successful as in the past!

The Board of SCSF are your friends, neighbors, local educators, and community leaders. This is our first Annual Fund drive in many years, and we need your financial support now, more than ever, so we may continue to support our students. Today, we are asking you to support the work of Santa Clara Schools Foundation by giving generously.
