We are raising money to supply Nepali students with reusable face masks, hand sanitizer and health and sanitation training. When COVID hit earlier this year, we raised $4,771 for food and hygiene kits for our students and their families tucked in remote Himalayan villages. Our hope is to help prepare our partnered communities for trekkers reentering the region by supplying reusable masks to students, school administration and guesthouse owners. Jugs of hand sanitizer will be supplied to the schools so students and staff can sanitizer upon entry and throughout the day. Health and sanitation training will be held at each of our partnered schools to discuss CDC recommendations for keeping schools and homes clean, all in hopes of reducing the spread of COVID.
