#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. This year, RepresentEd is asking you to join us in supporting our 2021 virtual programming initiatives!

“Racial unrest in the US has put a spotlight on the persisting inequities that lock doors to access for black and brown students. RepresentED has a proven track record of unlocking those doors. As a member of the Board, it is inspiring to see students develop a wide range of academic, technical, and soft skills through participation in RepresendEd's programs. These skills elevate their self-confidence, shaping and empowering them in ways that prepare them for bright futures of their own design. Please join us by investing in our students.”
- Suzanne Morris, COO Connect with Kids Network, RepresentEd Board Member
RepresentEd was founded in January 2017 with a mission to diversify the face of leadership. We are building a professional pipeline for underrepresented college students through human centered design and professional development tailored to address the challenges of the marginalized experience in workspaces. Since our founding, we have served 200+ university and community college students in the Bay Area through a variety of our programs, with many of these students graduating with full-time employment in healthcare, tech, design, finance, and business consulting.

Meet Our Fellows!
Pam Rodriguez
Social Enterprise, Spring '19 Fellow & Media Entrepreneur
“I had the chance to hear Rashida speak at a career panel about her experiences as an entrepreneur and the program she founded, RepresentEd. It was through becoming a RepresentEd fellow that I learned about Social Entrepreneurship - a kind of entrepreneurship that seeks to develop solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues, and has a mission to give back. I was really intrigued by this concept and it helped to expand my perspective on business as something that can actually do good in the world.
I’m currently a freelance videographer & social media manager, and I one day hope to have my own production company. I know that wherever my career takes me, I will strive to incorporate aspects of social entrepreneurship & human centered design, first introduced to me through RepresentEd.”

RepresentEd is gearing up for new virtual programming in 2021!
Traditionally, we have hosted semester and academic year based programming in three core programs, Career Pathways, Social Enterprise, and Peralta Corporate Scholars. However, after shelter-in-place orders resulted in high loss of employment opportunities, we decided to offer our training model through partnerships with companies such as Kaiser and IDEO, to create virtual, paid learning opportunities. By moving to partner based programming, we hope to expand and strengthen the RepresentEd community by giving corporate America the opportunity to be part of the process in generating equitable employment opportunities for those historically denied this right.
So, we’re asking you to donate to not only support our permanent transition to virtual delivery, but also to support our mission in diversifying professional leadership to better reflect the backgrounds we see in our communities. It is our belief that with better connections to and more representation from those traditionally excluded from the decision making processes, that we can see better access to opportunities, social mobility, and real social equity.
