This fund began in the spring of 2020 and has helped numerous families who have found themselves with an unexpected medical emergency with their loved one with Down syndrome that required an extended hospital stay. From newborns needing open heart surgery, young children battling leukemia, to adults with pneumonia, DSAP's Family Care Fund has been able to provide families with gift cards to make their inpatient visit more comfortable.
