TEACH Rwanda- Survive the Pandemic
When COVID-19 struck around the world, schools and teacher professional development programs came to an abrupt halt. So TEACH Rwanda created our own unique, compassionate, humanitarian responses to the pandemic.
As a consequence—after more than 6 months in which we have had no income from school fees or consulting in Rwanda—our emergency savings are gone. They have been used to:
- provide monthly emergency food for hungry Bright School families
- pay our teachers and support staff who continue to work
- operate a Mobile Library so each week children can choose a book to read at home with their families
- pay our rent as well as phone expenses so teachers can stay in weekly contact with all families
Watch this short video below to see how our healthy students and loving teachers continue to learn together during the pandemic.
Then, if you are able, please make a donation to TEACH Rwanda, so that we can continue to transform education in this developing country while providing nutrition and support for learning at home!
