History & Mission
The mission of Park Lawn is to provide independence, choice, and access to community living for individuals with developmental disabilities. Park Lawn has provided services that promote independence, choice and access to community living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities since.
Programs - Community Day Services
The program provides participants at Park Lawn’s vocational services location in Oak Lawn and our CHOICE program in Crestwood with a vast array of social experiences that creates the potential for growth and learning. It provides an opportunity for all participants to be active in the community, volunteer.
Programs - Supported Employment
Park Lawn’s Supported Employment Program matches individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with employment opportunities in the community. The businesses gain a hardworking employee who will perform a needed task and the employee will have the opportunity to increase their skills, make an impact in their community and feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in a job well done.
Programs - Residential Services
This service provides homes to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each home allows for a continuum of care to accommodate an individual’s changing needs. There are choices for individuals who are determined to maximize their independence and thrive within community social and recreational events as well as choices for individuals that need assistance with self-help skills, socialization, and activities of daily living.
