Greening Los Osos
One tree at a time....
GREENING LOS OSOS is an organization of community members created to preserve, maintain and enhance our tree population on public and private lands. We believe trees are part of our community character and are concerned with the declining number of trees. Trees conserve energy, clean the air, sequester carbon, provide storm water management, beautify our community and provide shade thus improving the environment, economy and quality of life in Los Osos. Therefore, it is essential that every effort be made to protect our trees. GREENING LOS OSOS will work with the County of San Luis Obispo, community agencies, members and leaders to achieve tree planting and preservation goals. These goals will be achieved by community outreach, education, project development and policies, while providing a volunteer work force to plant and care for trees in Los Osos.
Tax deductible donations can be made to Greening Los Osos through our fiscal sponsor, Ecologistics. For more information: email@example.com
More trees for the 4th of July July 03, 2021
More trees for the community on the 4th of July! Thank you Randon Pool, Carolina Van Stone and Tony Salome for planting three new trees at the Ferrell Street site where 6 trees were planted in December. The additional trees will compliment the new multipurpose pathway installed by the LOCSD and help serve the community with another green space. Two - three additional trees are planned for the site. Thank you to Rita Flores, Sage Landscape Planning, Los Osos Valley Nursery, Ron Munds and the Los Osos Community Services District for their continued support of our work.
