Synapse School 2020-21 Annual Fund
Give Yourself - Educating a Community of Change Makers
Each year we launch the Synapse Annual Fund to help support our Mission: educating a community of change makers. The Annual Fund that fuels the engine of our school program represents the largest source of non-tuition revenue for the school and is the backbone of our fundraising efforts, supporting current-year costs. The funds sustain our exceptional program—from teacher salaries to financial aid, supplies for classrooms to sports transportation. These tax-deductible gifts help our students as soon as they are received.
Synapse has reached 100% Annual Fund participation for the last six years. This is a testament to the profound support we have received from our community. This year, we ask each family to help us reach our goal of 100% participation and $840,000 in total contributions. If possible, we ask each family to provide a gift of $2,800 (or more) for each Synapse student in their family, to help us reach this goal. We cannot understate the importance of 100% participation. It sends a strong and positive message to donors outside Synapse that our community values and believes in our school.
Our "Give Yourself" Annual Fund allows Synapse to invest in our students beyond what tuition alone makes possible. Some initiatives supported by the Annual Fund include:
- Financial Aid
- Competitive teacher salaries
- Nature program
- Improved play and maker spaces
- Classroom supplies
- Computer science program
- Teacher professional development
- Subsidized shuttle service and Middle School sports transportation
