Living Water United Church of Christ (LWUCC) is a progressive Church Plant of the UCC, located in Philadelphia, PA.
Living Water United Church of Christ is a 21st Century Church building on the biblical principles of Redemption, Restoration, Renewal, & Refreshment. Guided by these principles we are committed to sharing the love of Christ, be and being empowered by the Holy Spirit for transformative work within ourselves that creates change in the world, and living out God's desire for an inclusive church where all are welcome and can expect to be embraced.
Led by Pastor Nicolas O'Rourke, we are committed to being a Loving, Empowering and Inclusive Congregation that is deeply invested in serving our communities as well as supporting the UCC in continuously evaluating anti-oppression systems and rhetoric. As leaders in the fight for justice and peace, the consistory at LWUCC that includes Diaconate Board and Leadership Officers are partnering with Roots of Justice that seeks the liberation of all persons from oppression, by providing strategies and tools for educating, organizing and renewing persons, institutions and systems.
We believe that this training is imperative to our growth and development as a congregation and as leaders in the struggle for justice and peace, as such, Living Water UCC is looking to send up to 10 members.
