The GK Folks Foundation team is reaching out to you to request sponsorship for the Miss Africa Arizona (MAA) cultural scholarship program.
The mission of the MAA cultural scholarship program is to promote Africa’s diverse culture, educate people about Africa’s rich heritage, facilitate real economic growth opportunities, and empower African refugees and Immigrant youth through education. The MAN cultural scholarship program is one of the various ways African students can apply and compete for scholarships from the new “Nevada African Scholarship Fund”.
GK Folks Foundation a nonprofit organization established the Arizona African Scholarship Fund because as an organization we believe having a quality education, entrepreneurship skills and capital is the key to solving Africa’s emerging socio economic development issues. Our efforts are focused on providing educational & entrepreneurial resources/opportunities to African students in diaspora to pursue their platforms/goals/education and succeed in school with the goal to give back to their respective African countries in the near future. We also provide mentoring opportunities for African students in the United States to help them succeed in school.

In the past in other states like Utah,Arizona and Idaho, the MAA cultural scholarship program has attracted over 700 people during its events and we anticipate since this is the first year in Nevada, we anticipate a crowd of over 300. Our sponsors are able to get the publicity and exposure they need because of the high number of unique and diverse cultures in attendance each year.
This year, we need your sponsorship to help these young African women succeed in life and help change the lives of the less privileged in Africa. We are needing cash sponsorship or in- kind sponsorship. For the past 10 years in Utah, Idaho and Arizona, sponsorship from organizations as yours have gone a long way in helping us influence the lives of these young women.
We anticipate a successful year’s event with your help and support. The MAA cultural scholarship event is going to be on Saturday, April 9th 2022 in the FABRIC
