Cape Fear Raptor Center is one of the only facilities in the world that has been given permission by US Fish and Wildlife to actively teach juvenile Bald Eagles to hunt through the art of falconry. Bald Eagles are not typical falconry birds as they mainly hunt fish and then scavenge for carrion. Currently we have four juvenile bald eagles that are being taught to hunt so that they can demonstrate the ability to catch game and survive on their own in the wild. Telemetry (tracking devices) and GoPro's will be utilized for monitoring and documenting the timeline of these eagles as we teach them to survive on their own. Help support our project of "Juvenile Bald Eagle Re-Introduction through Falconry"
