Dear Supporter;

This year marks a momentous occasion as the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Alpha Nu Omega Chapter (ANO), in partnership with the Pearl and Ivy Community Corporation (PICC), celebrates 95 years of dedicated service to the Bay Area community.  

We are thrilled to announce the “Rhythm & Blues Brunch: Setting the Pink Print for 95 Years,” an event designed to commemorate this incredible milestone and further propel our mission of providing numerous scholarships and relevant service to the greater Bay Area community.

Thanks to your unwavering generosity over the years, we have achieved remarkable milestones:

  • --Launching and supporting initiatives that heighten community awareness of critical health issues affecting African American women, with a keen focus on breast cancer awareness, heart health, nutrition and wellness, and caregiver support.

  • --Youth Leadership Institute:  a youth-led and highly interactive leadership development program designed to empower and engage Bay Area youth, ages 11-13.

  • --Developed the Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Packs (CHIPP) at Prescott Elementary School (OUSD), where over 600 healthy meals are provided weekly to students in need every Friday for the entire school year.

  • --Awarded over $100,000 in college scholarships to deserving high school graduates, providing essential aid for tuition, textbooks, and housing.

Your contributions have been instrumental in these achievements, and we are profoundly grateful for your support through financial and in-kind donations.

As we look forward to 2024, we eagerly seek your support for our initiatives. This year’s “Rhythm & Blues Brunch” will feature a silent auction, offering donors an exciting opportunity to bid on themed baskets and other unique items. Your participation through sponsorship or in-kind donations would be invaluable to the event’s success.
