Practice Lab Spring 2024
Practice lab sessions are an add-on of supplemental studio time for students enrolled in a LeMoyne Arts pottery class. Designed for students looking to develop and improve their skills through additional practice time, students will work independently and without instruction during their lab sessions. Practice time can be spent creating, planning, or finishing work. Open to both wheel and hand building students.
Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in a LeMoyne Arts Ceramics Class
Guidelines:
- Students must be able to confidently work safely and independently in the Ceramic Studios. No instruction is provided during practice lab sessions.
- Students may arrive / depart at any time during the practice lab.
- Please be thoughtful about noise levels – bring headphones for music, keep conversations at a low volume, and respect the shared working space.
- Students are expected to fully clean up their station, tools, and work; please leave enough time at the end of the evening to do so. Practice lab ends promptly at 8:30PM.
- Bisque and glaze firings are included with each student’s primary class. Additional firings are not a component of the Practice Lab.
- Production-level work is not permitted during Practice Lab.
- A studio monitor will be on site during all Practice Labs to ensure safe and respectful use of the studio.
