Understanding the Nature of Our World Through the Three Marks of Existence
with Kim Weeber
3 Mondays, May 17, May 24, June 7; 7:00 - 8:30pm
We live in a virtual reality, but don't know it. The way our brains work, we create a perceptual reality which is necessary for survival, but does not contribute to happiness. We are usually not aware that there is another way to understand our experience. If we look more deeply what is happening in each moment, we can go beyond our superficial perceptions to the deeper reality of flow and interconnectedness.
We will look at how
this works from a Buddhist perspective. The Buddha told us that our
experience is really imperfect, impermanent and impersonal. When we
really understand this, it can free us from suffering. Come and explore
these 3 characteristics together.
This course has a separate Zoom Link that will be emailed to all registrants. If you can't find it or are registering late, please email Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive the link.
*In keeping with the Buddhist tradition of dana (generosity), the suggested registration amounts for our classes and retreats do not include any payment for the teacher. The teachers are paid entirely out of the students' generosity. Please consider giving a donation to the teacher in order to support their ability to continue to share the dharma. We encourage you to consider teacher dana equal to or greater than the amount you gave for registration. You may give a donation at the time of registration and give later donations through our teacher dana link. Everyone is welcome to all of our events regardless of ability to donate.
You can give online or send checks to InsightPV, 116 Pleasant Street, Suite 242, Easthampton, MA 01027.
