The FEEDING YOUR BABY CLASS is a one-time, 2.5 hour class. One registration and tuition includes two participants, the birthing parent as well as the non-birthing parent, or, a support partner of your choice. The ideal time to take this class is 6 to 8 weeks before your baby's estimated due date, during your third trimester.
This class speaks to the new parent experience - covering typical newborn's expectations and nutritional needs and the lactation lifestyle - in a way both parents will benefit from. You'll leave with an understanding of infant feeding routines, how to recognize and avoid common challenges, the importance of good support, and ideas for setting "fourth trimester" families up for a strong start to newborn feeding. This class primarily focuses on breast/chest feeding/lactation though topics vary slightly depending on class needs. They can also include introductions to pumping, alternative feeding systems, and bottle feeding pumped milk or formula based on your questions.
You can take this one-time, 2.5 hour class for $45, or, to receive a discount, you can register for this class as part of The Bridge Package along with The Birth Class Series, The Baby Care Class and The Buds Newborn Class. Add all four of these classes to your cart and use the code: bridge at checkout to receive a total of $40 off, making this practically a free class!
Our classes are held in an intimate setting of 7 or 8 families, so they fill very quickly. It is wise to register as soon as you decide you are interested, typically 3 months before the desired class month is enough time. (Example: EDD is mid-December, either October or November will be the best session to enroll in, July or August is the time to enroll). 25% and 50% Scholarships are available.
This class is held in our virtual classroom. Zoom login information will be emailed one week prior to the start of class.
