The BIRTH CLASS *INFUSION is a 2 day, 6-hour session. One registration and tuition includes two participants, the birthing parent as well as the non-birthing parent, or, a birth support partner of your choice. The ideal time to take this class is 3 to 6 weeks before your due date, during your third trimester. Birth Roots classes are designed to help participants find a community of other parents in the same boat, with similar due dates, sharing similar concerns, questions, and considerations.
This engaging, introspection-based class with a community building emphasis offers participants opportunities to process the information they are hearing to see if or how it applies to them - designed to prevent birth trauma regardless of how a birth may unfold.
- Build confidence, calm and clarity as you gain a deeper understanding of the wisdom of the birthing body.
- Lean into the process and transformation of labor and birth in this dynamic approach to childbirth & postpartum education grounded in the Birthing From Within mindset.
- Learn individualized pain coping approaches that fit your personality and establish common language for communicating your needs to your birth team.
- *The 6 hour Infusion, or Intensive version of our BIRTH CLASS was created for families who live far from Birth Roots or have unusually complicated schedules making it difficult or impossible to participate over the span of 4 weeks. It is also taken by [not-first-time] parents as a review in preparation for subsequent births. This class meets on a Friday evening and Saturday morning. This condensed version moves quickly and is less detailed than the 12 hour version. Typically offered every other month.
Our classes are held in an intimate setting of 7 or 8 families, so they fill very quickly. It is wise to register as soon as you decide you are interested, typically 3 months before the desired class month is enough time. (Example: EDD is mid-December, either October or November will be the best session to enroll in, July or August is the time to enroll)
As of January 2022, this class will primarily be held in person and require masks and proof of vaccination. If you prefer or require a virtual class, please register for the Waitlist option and indicate your need for an online class when prompted.
