Overnight Backpack and Climb
June 24 – 26
Hello Trailmixers, registration is now open!
We are thrilled you have decided to join the 2022 Trailmixer Backpack and Climb Fundraiser at Mount San Gorgonio, June 24, 25 and 26.
DETAILS
This event is for our weekend warriors: those that want to participate, but don’t have a lot of vacation time to take. We have yet to climb Southern California’s tallest mountain as our official hike! Starting at the Vivian Creek trailhead, we will hike into High Camp for an overnight stay. The next morning, we will hike the remaining 3.7 miles to the summit, celebrate, then head all the way back!
Stats: Elevation 11,502’ – 18.4 miles round trip; Vivian Creak to High Camp – 5.5 miles, 3150' gain; High Creek to San Gorgonio summit – 3.7 miles, 2272' gain; return to High Camp and pack camp, then back to trailhead – 9.2mi.
Each climber is required to raise a minimum of $1,500 in sponsorships by June 19th in order to participate. We climb to fundraise for the Trailmixer OUTdoor Access Fund. 100% of the TOAF money will be converted into scholarships to low-income LGBTQ+ youth so they participate in leadership programs, outdoor activities, and environmental teachings provided by our amazing partners. Within the next few days, we will send you an email with instructions to start your personal fundraiser page.
Permit restricted to 20 people. Registration fee is $45 and includes your permit. The fee is non-refundable.
