Felted Forms

Instructor: Sarah Paul

Saturday, November 4th | 10–4pm

In this explorative workshop, you will learn how to create three dimensional forms using wet-felting techniques. We will utilize multiple techniques with resists made from thin packing foam. Students will create several initial vessels to gain an understanding of the process and will then have the opportunity for guided time to play and experiment. Use of a variable speed sander will be implemented to expedite production time. All materials and tools will be provided, however students are encouraged to collect and bring in repurposed packing foam (1/8” to 1/2” thickness) if they have it for the class to use for resists.
