Work as a Path of Awakening
Saturday, August 17; 9:30am - 2:30pm
Suggested contribution: $25-50 registration + teacher donation
This day will include a combination of meditation, relational practices, and discussion designed to explore specific practices we can bring to our working lives. Our working lives present us with fertile ground for dharma practice and for transforming habitual patterns of suffering into habits of greater ease. Whether we work in an office, a school, a kitchen, a farm, a hospital, a vehicle, or at home, we inevitably face stresses and challenges that are, in fact, potent opportunities for practice. For example, if we can find the skillful means to practice with them, habitual tendencies of boredom, anxiety, or overwhelm contain the seeds of transformation. This retreat is appropriate for all levels of experience.
