Team China (Shanghai & Beijing) - Global Run 2019

About This Registration

Teams Shanghai & Beijing are donating a run to support GIRLS EDUCATION in Kenya.

Join us for Year 6 of the GLOBAL RUN!

ABOUT THE GLOBAL RUN

The GLOBAL RUN supports girls' education at the secondary level in the remote area of Laikipia, Kenya.

All children attend school in Laikipia through the 8th grade.  Secondary years of 9th - 12th grades are only available to boys; so girls traditionally stay at home and cook and clean, and become mothers as young as 14 years old. Therefore, high school education for Maasai girls is only available through privately funded secondary schools, supported with donations from folks like us!

YOUR CITY CAPTAINS

Lauren Hogan & Nourredine Sahibi are once again heading up the run Shanghai, and Irene Hong is leading the way again up in Beijing. Whichever city you're in, join us for a casual, inclusive fun run or walk for this AMAZING cause.

-------------------

In 2018, more than $45,000 was raised for the Amazing Maasai Girls Project and 12 fresh-faced young ladies entered high school (secondary school) as a result of the donation of dollars and runs. Let's make 2019 just as EPIC! Costs have been underwritten, so your donations go DIRECTLY to girls education!

IMPORTANT: This is not an official or professionally organized event. You participate at your own risk and are entirely responsible for your health and safety. Amazing Maasai Girls Project nor any volunteers working to organize the event accept liability.

DON'T FORGET TO WEAR RED (favorite color of the Maasai, and it helps us all look powerfully uniform - we'll be taking photos and videos for the official mash-up video!)
