Update from Cheryl: In these days of epidemic, when sickness may arrive at any time, for ourselves or for a dear one, how do we practice care for our minds? When worry and anxiety lurk in the background, how do we cope with this dis-ease, this un-ease of the mind?
During this 3-hour on-line retreat on Zoom, Cheryl Wilfong reminds us of mindfulness and self-compassion. She will offer some practices for de-conditioning some of the usual ruts of the mind.
Original description: How does one accept things as they are? We will identify stressful thoughts which increase our suffering, and learn to let them go. Development of equanimity and self compassion will be emphasized. This day will include guided meditation, dialog and dyadic work. Suitable for beginners and experienced students. Cheryl is the author of a new book, Breast Cancer Meets Mindfulness, Surrendering to Life.
