11th Annual Windy25 Memorial *VIRTUAL* 5K, 2021

Dear Friends & Family –

For a 10th straight year I am soliciting your support for a great cause.

On April 10^th, 2021 I am running in the Windy25 Memorial 5K (from Mesa, AZ) in honor of the crew and passengers of Windy25 and all the others in service who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

I am running in memory of: CPL Joe McKearn, 2LT Chris Trotter, CPT Donnie Lee, CPT Jimmy Adamouski, MAJ Steve Reich, MAJ Tom Kennedy, Windy25, Mustang22.

The proceeds from the run will benefit….

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS offer’s compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces.

Legacies Alive. Legacies Alive provides unwavering support to Gold Star Families by ensuring the legacies of our Fallen Heroes are forever alive.

&

The Folded Flag Foundation. Provides educational scholarships and support grants to the spouses and children of the United States military and government personnel who died as a result of hostile action or in an accident related to U.S. combat operations.

Thanks to your help over the past eight years, Team McKearn has raised $59,923 dollars. Thank you for your generous donations and if able, please join in and support again this year.

Windy25 was the call sign of the aircraft from F Company, 159th Aviation Regiment “Big Windy”. They made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan on 6 April 2005.

18 brave Americans gave their lives in the name of freedom on April 6th, 2005 near Ghazni, Afghanistan. We forever honor them and continue to tell their life stories:

The Windy25 Memorial Fund was created to honor their legacy by actively supporting the families and survivors of all of our nation’s heroes, and we could not continue our mission without your support.
