WE ARE VIRTUAL THIS YEAR -- YOU CHOOSE THE ROUTE

Run on April 10th or choose a date and time to organize an event in your neighborhood.

BE SURE TO POST PICTURES AND TAG US ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

Run with us as we celebrate the lives of the crew and passengers of Windy25!

We are doing things a little differently this year, but you can still join us in tribute to the families & loved ones they leave behind and help us honor their legacy.  Our goal is to have a run or walk completed in all 50 states ~ a great way to take our message to communities around the Nation.  We are  committed to remembering our service members that were lost while serving and to supporting the families they left behind.  Unite with us on a 'virtual' run to remember their legacy.

Sign-up, fundraise, invite your friends and run or walk in honor of Windy25!

*Join us virtually for a pre-run/walk Tribute on April 10th*

RACE REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED!  THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE'S OUTPOURING OF SUPPORT!  PLEASE JOIN US FOR A LIVE FACEBOOK EVENT ON SATURDAY 10 APRIL 2021!

Windy25 was the call sign of the aircraft from F Company, 159th Aviation Regiment “Big Windy”.  They made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan on 6 April 2005.

18 brave Americans gave their lives in the name of freedom on April 6th, 2005 near Ghazni, Afghanistan.  We forever honor them and continue to tell their life stories:

CW2 Clint Prather, CW2 David Ayala, SSG Charles Sanders, SPC Michael Spivey, SPC Pendelton Sykes, MAJ Ed Murphy, MAJ David Connolly, SGM Barbaralien Banks, SPC Daniel Freeman, MSG Edwin Matos-Colon, SGT Stephen High, SPC Chrystal Stout, CPL Sascha Struble, Marine Sgt James Lee, SSG Romanes Woodard, Lance Bret Taylor, Ronald Wade, and Sy Jason Lucio.

The Windy25 Memorial Fund was created to honor their legacy by actively supporting the families and survivors of all of our nation’s heroes, and we could not continue our mission without your support. Join us, as we preserve Windy25’s legacy with dedication, honor and an unquenchable desire to make this world a better place.

We remember Windy25 as they lived, bringing life and love and joy to those who knew them and a pride to those that knew of their personal sacrifices in serving our Nation.
