The Diversity Dance Senior Travel Team is excited to be partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association
for the Community Edition of Dancing with the Stars to benefit Big Sky Senior Services. We are grateful for the opportunity to raise important funds that allow Big Sky Senior Services to promote independence and enhance the quality of life for our area senior citizens. Many of those senior citizens are living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. It seems almost everyone is affected by Alzheimer’s. We all have a reason to dance to #endalz. We are dancing to make life better for our loved ones.
Our organizational goal is to raise 65k which will help us provide services to 200 clients in our Senior Helping Hands Program. The Senior Helping Hands program is a home health agency, 501 (c) 3 and primarily serves isolated, low-income seniors in their homes. Our clients have lost some of their physical and/or mental abilities due to aging and/or illness. As a result, they are no longer able to perform all tasks that daily living requires, and they need help in order to be able to remain in their homes. Clients contribute to the cost of their own care based on income and ability to pay. Your support not only helps us provide services, such as homemaking and nursing services, to seniors in Billings and Laurel but it also allows us to offer these services as rates the seniors are able to afford.
Just a few hours of services a month can mean the difference between a senior remaining in their home or having to go to the next level of care prematurely. So, when you dance you are truly Dancing to make a Difference in the life of a senior.
