Support GFB's Disaster Relief Efforts

Supporting: #GivingTuesday November 30, 2021 for Go Fund Bean, Inc.

Campaign has ended.
My work for Go Fund Bean has made me aware of how acutely people need help when an emergency strikes. After Hurricane Ida, we received over three hundred applications for financial relief. People spent weeks in hotels because of lost power and lost homes; people missed paychecks or lost their jobs entirely.
Go Fund Bean was able to raise $120,000 to help people impacted by Ida. But the process was slow. As I write this, people we want to give money to still haven't been able to receive it because of the long delays of bank holds and accounting departments.
Our goal is to hold money for disaster relief in reserve.
Maybe there will be another weather disaster tomorrow. Maybe it'll be in a year. Either way, all the funds raised during Giving Tuesday will be held in savings until people need it. This way, we are able to respond quickly when disaster strikes.
Help us support hourly coffee workers facing dire circumstances by donating now.
