Supporting: BIPOC Scholarship Fund for Roots of Justice
Last November I had the honor of participating in my first training with Roots of Justice. The online antiracism analysis training was a powerful experience of reflection on intersectional oppressions, opportunities to gather in a white caucus to talk about internalized racial superiority and how it is a barrier to liberation, and to hear from very skilled trainers and fellow participants, BIPOC and white folks, about how heal and seek liberation.
I am raising money for Roots of Justice because I believe ROJ is uniquely positioned to educate and facilitate reflection on antiracist discipleship. I especially value their commitment to the full participation of both white and BIPOC participants in their trainings.
Recognizing that there is additional emotional labor for BIPOC, we are seeking to build up a scholarship fund for BIPOC participants.

Roots of Justice, Inc. (ROJ) is a nonprofit organization that envisions a world where work for justice in love enables all to live authentic and fulfilled lives. We seek the liberation of all persons from oppression, by providing strategies and tools for educating, organizing and renewing persons, institutions and systems.
Foundational to our Antiracism Analysis training is full participation by both white and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)/Global Majority participants. We recognize that there is additional emotional labor for BIPOC/Global Majority participants and as such we invite our supporters and partners to sponsor BIPOC participants training fees.
We ask that white participants consider giving to this fund as a means of reparations and standing in solidarity, as BIPOC participants acknowledge their Internalized Racist Oppression and journey toward wholeness.
