On the 27th of May I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. On the 28th of May I had surgery to remove the cancer. They discovered a 3cm tumor that was receiving blood. My broad spectrum cancer marker was around 500. Later another blood draw discovered my marker had dropped to the 150s. That same day I had a chest xray that discovered a nodual in my chest. Yesterday I had a CT with contrast that discovered that I have Stage 3 cancer in my right lung and in a lymphnode near my aorta. I was told it is low risk and there is a 90% survival rate, but I will have to go through at least 3 cycles of chemotherapy.

This year is about #whatsyourcolor.  Let's start a conversation about why this color is important to you.  Have you been affected by cancer?  Maybe someone you know or love has been impacted by cancer? A cancer diagnosis can turn a person's world upside down in an instant.  Pink Warrior Angels of TX understands this by continuing to help warriors through treatments.

A scientific paper published in the American Cancer Society journal, CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians. The Facts & Figures annual report provides:

In 2020, there will be an estimated 1.8 million new cancer cases diagnosed and 606,520 cancer deaths in the United States.

Our goal is to help raise $15,000 to help provide scholarships, financial aid, and chemo care kits for our cancer brothers and sisters during their cancer journey. Each participant will receive a race participation medal, bib, and neck gaiter (face mask). Once registration is complete you will be invited to a special Facebook group with other participants. This will be the place to encourage each other, post tips and tricks, and post your time/pictures once complete. There will be door prizes each day during the virtual race. Have fun, invite friends to join your team- Wear your finisher medal with pride!
