Walk N' Roll is the major fundraiser for our organization.


We can promote our valuable organization and provide support for the grants, educational programming, and community-building events that create a better and brighter future for those with spina bifida.


We'd like to introduce you to our superstar Carol Bodensteiner.


 

Telling our stories and sharing our experiences helps us relate to others in our community, developing friendships and mutual support. Carol is an ideal model for this, having written four books sharing her memories of important people and events in her life. She grew up on an Iowa farm where she worked alongside her parents and sisters since before she can remember. She is devoted to racial justice and meeting the needs of underserved communities, such as Oakridge Neighborhood, where she serves as a board member, Book Buddy reader with pre-school children, and is active on various committees, including fundraising. As a grandmother, she cares deeply about the welfare of young children, dedicating much of her time to those who need physical, emotional, social, and economic support. Carol has been a loyal supporter of the Spina Bifida Association of Iowa for many years.

October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month
and

Walk-N-Roll is our biggest fundraiser to

support the programs and services that assist

individuals and families affected by Spina Bifida in Iowa.


Our Walk-N-Roll campaign raises funds and

our Wak-N-Roll event is a time for families and individuals

impacted by Spina Bifida to come together to connect, learn, grow and have fun!

WHAT'S NEW?  SUPER STARS!

This year we're looking for the super stars who have made a difference in the
lives ofthose affected by Spina Bifida.

We're asking donors to raise funds or make a donation in their honor.

You can honor your super star in a note with your donation!


Events

Our Walk-N-Roll event and Adaptive Sports and Recreation Festival were held Oct. 2-3.

Watch for photos soon and make plans to join us the same weekend in 2022!
