My name is Jane Tiphayachan and I have been a Lupus Warrior since I was 20 years old.
I have experienced 2 major flare ups throughout my time both life threatening. Living with lupus is a constant everyday battle of pain and fatigue, its routine doctor appointments with various specialists that become very costly, endless tests, multiple developments of other illnesses, and tons of meds.
Through all of this I can say speaking from personal experience the main thing that gets us through hard times would definitely be the love and support from our family and friends, a simple check in to see how we are doing, taking the time and initiative to understand lupus and what it is, spending quality time with us, doing proactive things like take walks, do yoga, cook healthy meals together, help spread awareness, and participating in walks and fundraising events are some examples of how you can show support to a lupie.
I have been blessed to be able to partner with the Howse Foundation and the Lupus Foundation of Northern California to start a Lupus Support Group in Hayward in January 2017. Working with the LFNC is such a pleasure I have attended their support groups and it was such an amazing experience to be able to come together with other lupus warriors fighting the battle and find comfort and be able to relate to others that are going through the same things that you are.
Through your donation you can help the LFNC continue to help lupus patients receive the support and guidance they need and contribute to finding a cure to end Lupus once and for all!
Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you all at the Gala!

There are still $70 Dancing & Dessert only tickets available (9PM entry) and of course, we would appreciate any donations!
The Purple Ribbon Awards honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the lupus community. These individuals personify LFNC’s vision of bridging the gap between life with lupus today and life without lupus tomorrow.
This year's evening will feature dinner and dancing, live and silent auctions, and a cocktail hour. We are pleased to expand the entertainment this year with live music from the Larry Vann Band.
