I will volunteer with Global Volunteers in Havana, Cuba, this December. Please consider a 50% tax-deductible donation toward my service fee (covering all meals, accommodations, in-country transportation, and project costs), allowing me to serve a community in need. 


During my two-week service in Cuba, I will be working with the organizations Coordinación Obrero-Estudiantil Bautista de Cuba (Baptist Worker and Student Coordination of Cuba) and the Consejo de Iglesias de Cuba and (Cuban Council of Churches), also referred to as COEBAC and CIC, respectively. With the guidance of these community partners, I will have the opportunity to work on various initiatives:

  • Teaching English to improve Cubans' educational and employment opportunities 

  • Elderly Care by working in senior centers 

    • Assisting staff with labor and meal preparation 

    • Participating in engagement activities as individually requested

      • e.g: conversating; playing games; physical therapy

  • General Labor

  • Crafts & Knitting- assisting women in crafting homemade wares

    • Offering insight into items Americans are likely to purchase
