Hi, my name is Akiva Lieber. I have been at TVAC for approximately 17 months and I have enjoyed all of my time here. I have the privilege to give back to the community in which I have lived my whole life, and serve in an organization full of amazing people. Throughout my time at TVAC I constantly see the incredible hard work that each member puts in, and how all the effort comes together to create an incredible life-saving organization.
As of right now TVAC has an extremally fast response time, and with your help we can further decrease our response time.
At TVAC, we take immense pride in our quick response time and high level of patient care. The average EMS response time in Bergen County is sixteen minutes. TVAC’s response time averages between 2-5 minutes. When seconds count, we dispatch the closest EMTs directly to the scene in addition to our crew and ambulance from our headquarters. This response model ensures that care can be started as quickly as possible with rapid transport to an appropriate hospital.
Currently, we do not have the resources to supply ALL of our members with a complete medical bag, oxygen tank, and automated external defibrillator (AED). We are asking you to consider a tax-deductible donation to enable our members to reduce the time to initiate life-saving treatment even further, by guaranteeing that each of our members is equipped to provide the highest level of treatment possible. Seconds really matter!
This campaign can only be successful with the generous support of the entire Teaneck community. We appreciate your generosity, and we pledge that we will always be there for you, your family, your neighbor, and your friends in a time of need. Our volunteers are your neighbors, coworkers, and even family members. Items can be donated individually (see below for prices) or as an entire “first responder kit” ($3000).
If you would like to make a donation in honor of a loved one or for a specific dedication. Please email us at [email protected]
Please consider supporting the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Since our founding in 1939, we have never charged a patient, and we consist solely of volunteer members who receive no monetary compensation. We continue to rely on your generosity so that we can assist anyone in the community in their time of need. Please Help us Help you!
