The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps (TVAC) and I have a bit of history. It started when my mother became the second female member accepted to the organization. It continued when my father became a member and later, they married. They both were active members during my childhood, instilling the importance of helping others. I became a member myself at the age of 15 and a half. As an active life member now, I am continuing the tradition to impress the same values upon my own children. Generation after generation has sought to help the Teaneck community and beyond in an emergency situation. And TVAC continues to do so with volunteers!

But we can’t serve you all on our own. Earlier this week, we kicked off a fundraising campaign whose goal is to raise $100,000.00 by the start of EMS Week (May 15th). The purpose of the campaign is to raise the necessary funds to ensure all of our members can be equipped with a complete medical bag, oxygen tank, and automated external defibrillator (AED) which will enable us to render life-saving care on those calls when members are responding directly to the scene.

I humbly ask you to consider a tax-deductible donation to ensure each of our responders is equipped to provide the highest level of treatment possible. Every little bit helps us help you!

Thank you in advance for your generosity, your friendship, and your support!

At TVAC, we take immense pride in our quick response time and high level of patient care. The average EMS response time in Bergen County is sixteen minutes. TVAC’s response time averages between 2-5 minutes. When seconds count, we dispatch the closest EMTs directly to the scene in addition to our crew and ambulance from our headquarters. This response model ensures that care can be started as quickly as possible with rapid transport to an appropriate hospital.

Currently, we do not have the resources to supply ALL of our members with a complete medical bag, oxygen tank, and automated external defibrillator (AED). We are asking you to consider a tax-deductible donation to enable our members to reduce the time to initiate life-saving treatment even further, by guaranteeing that each of our members is equipped to provide the highest level of treatment possible. Seconds really matter!

This campaign can only be successful with the generous support of the entire Teaneck community. We appreciate your generosity, and we pledge that we will always be there for you, your family, your neighbor, and your friends in a time of need. Our volunteers are your neighbors, coworkers, and even family members. Items can be donated individually (see below for prices) or as an entire “first responder kit” ($3000).

If you would like to make a donation in honor of a loved one or for a specific dedication. Please email us at [email protected]org.

Please consider supporting the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Since our founding in 1939, we have never charged a patient, and we consist solely of volunteer members who receive no monetary compensation. We continue to rely on your generosity so that we can assist anyone in the community in their time of need. Please Help us Help you!
