Hey! My name is Chimere Nnadi, but I go by Chim for short. I am an 18-year-old senior in high school and a Regular member at TVAC. I joined TVAC about 2 years ago seeking to give back to my community and help others in need, all while cultivating my skills as an Emergency Medical Technician.

I have loved every minute of volunteering my time at TVAC and I have learned more about not only medicine, but about myself as well.  TVAC has helped me build the confidence I needed in each in everything I do, in and outside of riding on the ambulance and treating patients.

Outside of TVAC, I enjoy tutoring others in mathematics and science, playing chess and other games, and going out bowling with friends. I intend to pursue a future career in medicine and TVAC has provided me with such an amazing opportunity to do this.

The TVAC fundraiser to provide our members with life saving equipment is still going on and it is not too late to donate and help us continue to provide top-notch patient care and save the lives of the citizens of Teaneck. Anything helps!

At TVAC, we take immense pride in our quick response time and high level of patient care. The average EMS response time in Bergen County is sixteen minutes. TVAC’s response time averages between 2-5 minutes. When seconds count, we dispatch the closest EMTs directly to the scene in addition to our crew and ambulance from our headquarters. This response model ensures that care can be started as quickly as possible with rapid transport to an appropriate hospital.

Currently, we do not have the resources to supply ALL of our members with a complete medical bag, oxygen tank, and automated external defibrillator (AED). We are asking you to consider a tax-deductible donation to enable our members to reduce the time to initiate life-saving treatment even further, by guaranteeing that each of our members is equipped to provide the highest level of treatment possible. Seconds really matter!

This campaign can only be successful with the generous support of the entire Teaneck community. We appreciate your generosity, and we pledge that we will always be there for you, your family, your neighbor, and your friends in a time of need. Our volunteers are your neighbors, coworkers, and even family members. Items can be donated individually (see below for prices) or as an entire “first responder kit” ($3000).

If you would like to make a donation in honor of a loved one or for a specific dedication. Please email us at [email protected]org.

Please consider supporting the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Since our founding in 1939, we have never charged a patient, and we consist solely of volunteer members who receive no monetary compensation. We continue to rely on your generosity so that we can assist anyone in the community in their time of need. Please Help us Help you!
