My name is Alia Casborne’ and I am beyond excited to step up to the plate for this year’s Radio-Thon! I have been a volunteer for Miracle League Northshore for the past couple of years doing whatever was needed from working in the concession stand to running check-in for Opening Day,  When I first learned of Miracle League, I was excited to help out in any way possible. Seeing the mission in action truly hit home. There is nothing like seeing a child, who before could not participate on a sports team, run the bases as the crowd cheers them on. It is gratifying to see the excitement of a coach and an athlete when the player makes a basket after working on their form. Words cannot express watching a buddy and athlete being introduced as strangers at the beginning of a game and walking off the field as friends. It is about  more than a game, it's giving athletes of all abilities the opportunity to play on a team. I truly believe in Miracle League’s motto that “every child deserves the chance to play” and that’s why I am raising funds for their 2022 Radio-Thon this year.
